⚙️ Selection Process & Historical Exam Pattern

Historically, the RRB ALP recruitment consists of 5 rigorous stages:

  1. First Stage CBT (CBT-1): 75 Questions in 60 Mins (Maths, Reasoning, General Science, Current Affairs). Qualifying Nature.
  2. Second Stage CBT (CBT-2):
    • Part A: 100 Qs in 90 Mins (Maths, Reasoning, Basic Science & Engineering).
    • Part B: 75 Qs in 60 Mins (Relevant Trade Subject - Qualifying).
  3. Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT): Psycho test. No negative marking.
  4. Document Verification (DV)
  5. Medical Examination (A-1 Standard)

No. While ITI is the standard qualification, candidates with a Diploma or Degree (B.E/B.Tech) in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or Automobile Engineering can also apply.
▶ WHAT IS THE PHOTO BACKGROUND RULE?
Railway Recruitment Boards strictly require a clear, white background for your passport-size photograph. The photo should be recent and without caps or dark glasses.

Yes, Bachelor of Engineering (B.E) and B.Tech students from approved branches (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Auto) are fully eligible to apply for ALP.
