🎓 Educational Qualification & Eligibility
1 Mandatory Qualification
- Must have passed High School (10th Class) from the Board of High School and Intermediate Education, UP, or any recognized equivalent.
- Must possess a Certificate in Tubewell Mechanic (नलकूप मैकेनिक) from Govt Technical/ITI Centre, Lal Diggi Park, Gorakhpur (or Govt ITI, BKT, Lucknow).
- OR possess a 2-year ITI Certificate / 3-year National Apprenticeship Certificate in ANY of these 4 trades:
- ✔️ Machinist (मशीन मिस्त्री)
- ✔️ Fitter (फिटर)
- ✔️ Wireman (वायरमैन)
- ✔️ Turner (टर्नर)
2 Age Limit (As on 01-July-2026)
Candidates must have attained the age of 18 Years and must not have crossed 40 Years.
Age Relaxation (For UP Domicile only):
- SC / ST / OBC: +5 Years Relaxation
- State Govt Employees: +5 Years Relaxation
- Ex-Servicemen: 3 Years after deduction of service period

⚔️ Selection Process & Exam Pattern
Step 1: The 15x Shortlisting Rule
UPSSSC will shortlist candidates equal to exactly 15 times the number of category-wise vacancies. This shortlisting is based purely on the normalized score of PET-2025. Only shortlisted candidates will be allowed to sit for the Mains Written Exam. There is no interview and no physical test for this post.
