IBPS Handwritten Declaration Format Rules

Last Updated: April 2026

If you are applying for banking jobs through the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) or State Bank of India (SBI), you are required to submit a Handwritten Declaration. This is a mandatory security step where you declare that all the details provided in your application form are true and correct.

A simple mistake in the handwritten declaration—such as writing in all capital letters, using the wrong ink color, or uploading an incorrect file size—will lead to the immediate rejection of your application, regardless of your exam score.

1. The Exact IBPS Declaration Text

You must write the following exact text in your own handwriting. Do not add or remove any words:

"I, _______ (Name of the candidate), hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the application form is correct, true and valid. I will present the supporting documents as and when required."

2. Strict Rules You Must Follow

Writing the text correctly is only the first step. You must strictly adhere to the formatting guidelines outlined in the official IBPS notification:

3. Digital Upload Specifications

Once you have written the declaration on paper, you must scan it and format it perfectly to upload it to the portal. The dimensions and size must be exact:

4. Fixing File Size & Dimension Errors

If you take a photo with your mobile phone, the file size will usually be 2 MB to 5 MB, which is way too large. Simply use the Doc Resizer or Custom Resize tool on the ExamPhotoResizer homepage to shrink your file down to the required 50KB-100KB limit without making the handwriting blurry.
