The Arunachal Pradesh Staff Selection Board (APSSB) has issued an official notification to recruit 984 candidates for Uniformed Services including Constable (IRBn & Civil), Fireman, and Special Tiger Guard (STPF). 💰 Salary & Pay Scale (Level-3)
Selected candidates for all posts will be placed in Pay Matrix Level-3 with a basic salary ranging from ₹21,700 to ₹69,100 per month, plus Dearness Allowance (DA), HRA, and other standard allowances.

🎓 4. Eligibility Criteria & Age Limit
Educational Qualification
Candidates must have passed their 10th Class (Class X) examination or equivalent from a recognized Board.
For Constable Band/Bugler, knowledge of playing the band/bugle is required.
Age Limits by Post (As on 10/04/2026)
- Constables (Band, Bugler, IRBn, Civil Police): 18 to 22 Years.
- Fireman & Special Tiger Guard: 18 to 32 Years.
Age relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for APST candidates. Ex-Servicemen rules apply.
⚙️ 5. Selection Process
The APSSB selection involves a multi-stage process. Unlike typical exams, the Written Test comes first.
- Stage-I: Objective Written Exam (CBT): A 200-mark test. Candidates must score a minimum of 33% to qualify.
- Stage-II: PST, PET & Trade Test: Shortlisted candidates (1:3 ratio) take physical tests. Ex-Servicemen are exempt from PET and Trade Tests but must pass PST.
- Stage-III: Medical Fitness Test: Required for all posts except STPF.
*Stage-II and III are qualifying only. Final merit is based on the Written Exam.
